Planning a post prom can be very overwhelming. Most of the time it falls to the parents of the Junior class and generally the will have no previous experience making these types of plans. We could go on all day about all the different types of things that can be done, but let’s just talk about a few of the more unique suggestions here.
Most post proms work best if you choose a theme first. Sometimes you choose a theme that works with the actual prom although many times a theme is chosen around the entertainment that you hope to offer.
Of course, budget is a factor and most prom committee’s start with fund raising months in advance. If your school hasn’t done this though, you can overcome this obstacle with a few phone calls. Many post prom committee’s overlook the possibility of corporate sponsorships for their prom. A few calls to the right companies can go a long way to getting you the money you need for the perfect event.
Once you have a theme and a budget, then it’s time to choose your post prom activities. Don’t make the mistake of waiting until the last minute to make your plans. Many schools place equipment orders at the beginning of the year. The sooner your place your games & entertainment order, the better chance you’ll have of getting some great activities for your school.
